President Franklin D. Roosevelt launched programs to combat the Great Depression, while Denver Parks Manager George Cranmer called upon the Civilian Conservation Corps to transform an outdoor amphitheater bounded by Ship Rock and Creation Rock into a formal amphitheater.

Parking

At Red Rocks, parking is included with your ticket price and lots open two hours before showtime. To minimize walking, try parking in one of the Upper Lots nearer the amphitheater; these often fill quickly. Lower South Lots may take longer, and for your own comfort we advise wearing comfortable footwear when parking there.

Blankets may be brought, but should not exceed 40″x 60″, while food and drinks must only be sold in factory sealed plastic containers unless specifically prohibited by the show. Lighting up your path ahead is highly advised – there are four ChargePoint charging stations located within the Trading Post lot for your convenience.
